Why Not?

I figured if I am going to start "blogging" if you will everyday, why not start today with an actual post. These past couple weeks have been more of a blur than anything else, between starting back to work, the Miss MHS Pageant, and then starting back to the reality of everyday college life and all that it entails. However, I cannot complain too much, because I would not have it any other way. There are two quotes that I have posted on my desk that I look at every single day at some point in time and they remind me why I do what I do and why I live my life the way I do. "Live in the moment and let the moment take your breath away." I never imagined I would be teaching 4,5, and 6 year olds how to dance, but I am. However, while I am teaching them the fundamentals of dance, I feel like they teach me so much more...patience for a start. But, it is just amazing I think what they can find joy and comfort in, where as that same thing we as "adults" (I suppose I can consider myself that now) would scoff at. "Life is best danced to the song of your heart." For the 15 or so years that I have been dancing, I have never utilitzed this quote until now. There are no words to describe this quote, nor do I want to try to put reason as to why it has meaning to me, it just does and I think that is all that matters.

  1. When you dance to hip hop, it tugs at my heartstrings...just like heartburn.

  2. I didn't know you were teaching little kids! Remember when we were little and we planned to teach dance together?

  3. I don't know Evan personally, but I love his post! Awesome! But he has no idea how painful Reed is to watch!

  4. That's not necessarily true; It was an anonymous quote with an ambiguous audience.
